Five months after she gave birth to her second son, Megan began with a special diet based on the Paleo diet.
The Paleo Diet Plan relies on what folks call the “caveman diet.” Meaning you’re just designed to eat foods that will have been accessible to cavemen. For example anything you can eat from hunting, planting and gathering. This essentially removes all processed foods from your diet plan and ensures you’re simply eating natural, healthful things.
"I cut out all bread and those sort of carbohydrates," she said. "No crackers, no pretzels, no chips. Nothing unhealthy. The worst thing I put in my body is coffee, once a day. I don't have any cheat days, but if I did, it would be pizza or cake."
Megan also used her iron willpower to give up smoking cigarettes. "I gave up smoking cold turkey," she said. "I'm one of those people where when I'm committed, there's no stopping me. So, I did it and after about a week, it repulses me. Like, there's bread over there and never again would I put that in my body."
Megan said her breakfast is usually a smoothie, oatmeal or eggs, while lunch is a salad or turkey sandwich. Megan also snacks most afternoons, enjoying nuts with dried cherries, chips with hummus, or an apple with almond butter.
Eat whole, unprocessed, nutrient-dense, nourishing foods. Prioritize grass fed and pastured meats and eggs, wild-caught seafood, and vegetables. Enjoy fruit, nuts, and seeds in moderation.
Avoid foods that will harm us by causing systemic inflammation, wrecking our guts, or derailing our natural metabolic processes. Abstain from toxic, pro-inflammatory foods like gluten-containing grains, legumes, sugar, and the laboratory- concocted Frankenfoods found in the middle aisles of your neighborhood supermarket.
Diet plan includes high intake of animal protein, healthy fats, fruits and vegetables, fish, seafood, eggs, seeds and nuts except peanuts.
Products to avoid in your diet are gluten, sugar, dairy, starch, alcohol and processed foods, coffee, tea and potatoes.
Fruits, vegetables, and meats are entirely filling sources of fuel and energy and this increases the likelihood of weight loss since they’re also readily digested and processed by the body – one thing that Megan Fox has kept and instilled as a practice not only for herself but for her whole family.
The Paleo diet is the most popular diet around today, and has a huge celebrity following, including Tim McGraw (who credits it for his jaw-dropping 40-pound weight loss), Joe Manganiello, Kellan Lutz, and supermodel Adriana Lima.
